We’re pleased to mark the return of our School Spotlight blog series with a look around Buxton School. In this post we’ll be showcasing some of the lesser known facilities at Buxton, as well as taking you through some of the more popular venues.
Buxton School, located in Leytonstone, London is a popular all-through learning community that offers education for Primary level right through to Secondary level. Schools Plus has been privileged to run Buxton School’s lettings for the last year and we’ve really enjoyed watching this wonderful site grow both in the number of regular customers and one-off bookings.
Our first facility that we’d like to highlight at Buxton School is the Dance Studio. This pristine studio has mirrors on two walls, portable ballet barres available for use and an accessible AV system making it the perfect venue for Dance teams to practice and perform. We’ve also seen general fitness classes and groups utilize this space as well as performing arts bookings.
Moving on to frequently one of the most popular facilities at Buxton School; the Sports Hall. This purpose built, multi-functional venue can cater for a whole host of sporting activities, with markings and equipment available for; badminton, basketball, football, hockey and netball. There is also the opportunity to use the Hall for more general active bookings such as martial art classes and archery.

We’re always excited when a school can offer customers unique booking opportunities and at Buxton School this comes with the chance to book the following specialist classrooms: the food technology room, the art room, the music room, the ict room and the science studio. There are a lot of great specialist classes you can run in these rooms.
Now for some hidden gems in the venue catalogue at Buxton School, which we think the following facility fits in that category well. The Small Hall is a great space with a lot of scope for different bookings and events. This modern, well lit room is a great open space that has seen a variety of bookings including workshops, community gatherings and fitness classes.
So far, the facilities we’ve seen have all been inside so to change things up let’s look at the outside booking opportunities available. To begin we have the Astro Turf, which is a fantastic place for football teams and leagues to play and practice. The high-quality playing surface has the goals, line markings and space to allow two Seven-a-side football games to be run simultaneously.

Other outside facilities include the Multi-Use-Games-Area (MUGA) pitch which is a great place for basketball bookings and an outside event space which can host a large amount of people and is great for summer gatherings or for use as an outside ‘break out’ space for other bookings in the school.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this virtual tour of Buxton School. We are thrilled to continue to work alongside this popular school. If you’d like to book any of these facilities, available Evenings, Weekends and School Holidays please visit – http://www.schoolsplus.co.uk/buxtonschool
