Our School Spotlight series returns with a look around Ingleby Manor Free School and Sixth Form with a preview of the fantastic facilities available for booking and hire here through Schools Plus.
Ingleby Manor Free School and Sixth Form is a relatively new school, having first opened in September 2014, located in Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham. The school is education partners with the Delta Academies Trust.
There are numerous high-quality facilities found here. We’d like to start our brief tour with a look around the very impressive Sports Hall.
The Sports Hall is one of the largest venues at Ingleby Manor as it can cater for up to 300 people. This multi-functional facility has the markings and equipment available to play the following sports – netball, badminton, cricket (with nets), indoor football and basketball.
The Sports Hall is also a great place to run bookings away from sport including large fitness classes and martial art classes. The Hall can also be utilised as a general event space although we think the next facility is better suited for that purpose…
The Main Hall at Ingleby Manor is a well presented and modern space that comes complete with a retractable tiered seating and is available with the use of a projector and screen.
This Hall can accommodate to up to 150 people, making it the perfect venue to hire at Ingleby Manor for general events that require more space including community gatherings and business conferences.
A great venue to host performing art bookings, including show rehearsals and dance groups, is the Activity Studio. This venue comes complete with sprung flooring and can cater to up to 50 people.
Moving outside there is a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) available for booking. The MUGA has netball markings, making it a great venue for netball leagues or training.
There are a wide range of Classrooms available for community hire at Ingleby Manor. These include specialist classrooms such as Music Rooms and a Computer Suite. The classrooms are perfect venues for private tuition, skill workshops, language schools and more general bookings such as community gatherings and worship.
