Earlier this month, we announced we’re now working together with Fulford School. This partnership means that the local community have the opportunity to hire the school’s fantastic facilities on Evenings, Weekends and School Holidays through Schools Plus moving forward.
Fulford School is a coeducational comprehensive school located in its namesake Fulford, York. This ‘Ofsted Outstanding’ school has a long-standing high reputation in the community, having first opened its doors in 1963.
We wanted to use this blog post to take you on a virtual tour around the school to see just what halls, rooms, studio spaces and more are now available to hire there!
Let’s start by looking at the hub of the school, the Main Hall. This spacious venue is ideal for community gatherings and events all of which can take advantage of the impressive stage area as well as the sound, lighting and projector options available for use.
If you wanted to run more of an active booking at the school, then you have a few options both inside and out. For the inside bookings, you have both the Sports Hall and the Gymnasium to pick from.
The Gymnasium is more of a traditional school venue, which some guests may enjoy, whereas the Sports Hall has more of a modern feel. Both locations are good sizes with a range of suitable sports to host in each.
For the outside active bookings, the Multi-Use Games Area will be your best bet. This location is ideal for both Tennis and Netball bookings, however, it can also be enjoyed for general fitness bookings and even outdoor community events if you wanted to as well.
We’re delighted that almost all of our Partner Schools allow us the use of their classrooms and Fulford School is no different in this. The school have kindly allowed a range of their classrooms to be available for tuition classes, language schools, workshops, worship groups, children’s half-term clubs and more!
