How long have you worked for Schools Plus?
4 and a half years.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 3 things, what would you choose to bring and why?
- A friend – needs to be someone that you can have a laugh with and work well with but knows you well enough to be able to give you some space when you need it. Plus 2 heads can be better than one when working out how to resolve an issue.
- Multi-tool pen knife – this would be handy for a number of tasks that you might find yourself faced with
- Phone attached to its solar-powered power bank – need access to music and to be able to take photos
What is your favourite part about working for Schools Plus?
The variety – no day is ever the same which suits me.
You are a crayon in the box what colour would you be and why?
One of the multi-colour crayons. I like the variety as you have every colour you might need – a bit like this job – variety and the ability to adapt is essential.

Can you describe a typical working day for you?
No day is ever the same, but it generally consists of checking voicemails and emails are I start the day and actioning anything from there; dealing with sales enquiries and then to checking in on staff during their shifts to ensure everything is running smoothly. Where required client meetings and customer showrounds are added in.
What’s your favourite film and why?
Favourite film is a hard one… I like all genres but I do enjoy the fast and furious films as I love the cars.
What do you think the future holds for Schools Plus?
I think the company is going to continue to grow and evolve. There are a lot of changes coming which will help further improve and streamline our processes.
Thanks to Alex for joining us.
