- Who are you and what is your role at Schools Plus?
Hi my name is Derek Smith and I am a muti site Venue Manager in London.
- What is an activity that you enjoy doing in your spare time away from work?
I enjoy playing and watching football.
- How long have you worked for Schools Plus?
I have nearly completed my first year!
- If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 3 things, what would you choose to bring and why?
A Mirror, Knife, Frying pan set. Very practical I know but I would like to survive.
- What is your favourite part about working for Schools Plus?
Getting to see all the great events that take place.
- You are a crayon in the box what colour would you be and why?
Red, because the other colours are just boring.
- Can you describe a typical working day for you?
I tend to start at around 10am and spend most of the day answering and sending emails until about 3pm, if I have not planned a meeting with a client.
I will then plan to visit one of my sites in the evening to provide support and training. On occasions I will conduct interviews or complete an audit at one of my sites in the evening as well.
- What’s your favourite film and why?
I would say Rocky, there has not been a better boxing film since.
- What do you think the future holds for Schools Plus?
The future is bright for Schools Plus, we have a new managing director and I expect to see a lot of positive changes that will benefit our client and customers.
