We are pleased to announce our deserved 2018 Employee of The Year, as selected by our founder and owner James Woods, is Lorraine Johnson Evaristo!

Lorraine, amazingly now a two-time winner of this award, joined Schools Plus at the start of our company’s history and we’re delighted that she continues to work with us today, now in her role of Team Leader at Trinity School in Erith, Kent.
Lorraine received this Employee of The Year award for the constant praise she receives from customers, clients and colleagues for her continued good work around Trinity School. Sam Politt, the head of PE at the School had this say on Lorraine’s personality and work ethic –
She’s an absolutely amazing person, who goes beyond her duties and is incredibly kind and helpful
Lorraine continually demonstrates several of our key company values, including the value of Commitment by getting it right day after day, week after week and year after year. She has shown that she is clearly very Good with People (also an important value of ours) as shown by the kind praise we’ve received from her colleagues and customers.

Our Team Leaders report directly to our Venue Managers, so it was only right we asked Lorraine’s Venue Manager Sam Kalirai for a few words on working with Lorraine –
Lorraine is a meticulous operator who takes full ownership of Trinity School and embraces her position as Team Lead. Working with Lorraine is an absolute pleasure and a great privilege.
I am very proud of her achieving Employee of The Year 2018…Lorraine represents everything that is great about the company.
The award and subsequent praise have meant a lot to Lorraine, who won her first Employee of The Year award ten years ago, and we were delighted to hear from her –
Thank you for your congratulations on being Employee of the year, it is fantastic! It is quite an honour receiving this for a second time. I’ve had a successful 30-year career in the Civil Service and I started working for Schools Plus in 2007.Trinity was my first school but lately I have also worked with my other colleagues in their schools. I have enjoyed that. My role at Trinity is never dull, you get the opportunity to meet all kinds of people and I enjoy that part. Yes, it can be challenging and that’s what keeps me on my toes.
I’ve been fortunate to have been invited to so many celebrations over the years by my customers and I have met their families. Younger staff have a great opportunity to have a brilliant career with Schools Plus and should grab it with both hands.
Working in my twilight years and still enjoying my time with Schools Plus I feel so lucky, privileged and honoured to receive this award twice.
I feel like I am on a journey and haven’t reached my destination yet
A very well done to Lorraine!
We’d also wish to extend a further congratulations to our following colleagues, who were short-listed for the award, on their great years work at Schools Plus; Abdi Badel, Dave Maher, Ernest Coll, Sam Kalirai and Yolanda Baguma.
