Christmas is always a busy time for our customers, staff and partner schools. Each year we hear from customers enquiring about our opening times for the festive period and other seasonal concerns.
We thought it would be helpful this year to use this blog post to answer some of the common questions that we face each year about our festive hours and policy! So, lets answer as many as we can below…

Question: Can I make a booking on Christmas Day or New Years Day?
Answer: We do accept bookings made on these dates (as well as Christmas Eve and New Years Eve) however they can only be confirmed if we have the staff in place and the permission to operate at the chosen venue.
As with regular bookings we will let you know within 48 hours if we can run your booking. Please be aware we do charge a slightly higher rate on these selected dates.
Q: Will my Venue be open over Christmas?
A: The vast majority of our partner schools are open for community use across the festive period, however a select few do close. We will let our customers at these sites know ahead of time if their bookings are affected.
Q: Will your Customer Contact Centre be open over the holidays?
A: Our Customer Contact Centre runs on reduced operating hours – 10 am to 2pm – across the Christmas period, which we class as December 23rd to January 2nd. We will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day as well as Weekends as always.
The Customer Contact Centres operating hours will be publicised permanently on the Schools Plus Facebook and Twitter accounts throughout the holidays.
Q: Who do I contact about my booking if your Customer Contact Centre isn’t open?
A: If you cannot reach our Customer Contact Centre then should try to contact the Site Mobile number provided to you on your booking confirmation email. Please be aware these Site Mobiles may not be answered outside of our operation hours.
If a Venue Manager has previously reached out to contact you then you can of course try to contact them if you have tried the Site Mobile beforehand.
Q: If it snows, will my booking be cancelled?
A: With all adverse weather conditions we accept final judgement from our partner schools as to if their sites are safe and accessible for customers.
If bookings do have to be cancelled then the Venue Manager responsible for the school will attempt to contact you as soon as they know of any cancellations. Any cancelled bookings due to adverse weather will of course be refunded.
