We’re delighted to announce the news that we are now working with a new partner school, Capital City Academy! This highly respected specialist Sports and Arts Academy is in Willesden, in the borough of Brent, North West London.
Capital City Academy previously ran their own lettings in-house but have now enlisted the help from Schools Plus to ensure they are getting the best out of their wonderful facilities. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to help and we’re very excited to see the academy full of happy customers on evenings, weekends and school holidays.
The academy truly has some fantastic facilities as well as lots of very impressive buildings, with the school designed by one of the world’s leading firms of architects, Foster and Partners! Let’s start off our mini tour with the stunning 3G Pitch. This full-sized pitch is accredited to host affiliated league football matches and has full floodlight use available until late. You can book this pitch either as the full pitch or into thirds for separate 7 v 7 pitches. We look forward to welcoming everything from football leagues, casual games and children’s birthday parties on the pitch.
There are two Dance Studios available to book at Capital City Academy. The slightly larger of the studios has wooden flooring, a mirrored wall (with ballet bare) and can accommodate up to 60 people. The smaller studio has the same furnishings but can only accommodate up to 30 people. Both studios would be perfect homes for regular dance groups and fitness classes.
Moving onto another studio at the academy, this time the Drama Studio. This neatly presented Studio has carpet tiles, black out curtains, spotlights and a projector and screen. The space can accommodate up to 30 people and would be a great location for performing art groups or small social events such as worship groups or workshops.
A great place for indoor active bookings at the academy is the Sports Hall. The hall is perfect for a variety of activities including gymnastics, basketball and cricket (with nets available). You can also use this hall for large community events, with retractable bleacher seating available to accommodate up to 400 people.
Another fantastic location for community events is the The QSB Theatre. This impressive three-tiered seater theatre comes complete with a raised stage area with curtains, spotlights, a drop-down screen and projector. We think this would be a great venue to host concerts, shows and even business conferences.
Like many of our partner schools, Capital City Academy kindly offer the use of their classrooms for community hire. Each of these classrooms can fit up to 30 people and each room contains a whiteboard, projector and screen.
As you can tell there are some truly great facilities at the academy and there are still more facilities available to hire! We’ll quickly run through the rest now; first, there’s a Playground, which is perfect for outdoor active bookings. Also great for outdoor activities are the Tennis Courts and Ruby Pitches.
Moving back inside there’s a Canteen which is full of natural light and could be a great spot for community gatherings. There’s also a Food Tech specialist room which would be great to run cooking schools in. Finally, there’s a Conference Room which would work as temporary office space to hire should you need it.
