Welcome back to the next entry into our on-going series where we look at each segment of the Schools Plus Business Model. Last time out we focused on the School Values & Ethos side of our business and how we strive to intertwine both our values and our partner school’s ethos’ in all aspects of our work.
This week we’ll be looking at our Operating Procedures. Schools Plus has an integrated approach to ensuring operational excellence, making sure we get our operations right time and time again allowing lettings to take place day after day. We have a couple of different key systems in place to ensure this happens, which we will explore in this blog.
The best way we can ensure we are getting our operations right is by guaranteeing we always have Staff on Site. We guarantee that a member of Schools Plus staff will be on site for every minute of every shift, allowing our schools to be carefully watched over throughout the lettings period. All relevant staff members are subjected to enhanced DBS checks and are specially trained in fire evacuation, prevention and safety.
Our on-site staff are highly visible and as well as greeting every customer, they make sure to conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety and smooth running of each booking in at their sites. Our on-site teams are also readily available to assist with set ups and general queries as and when required.
To ensure our on-site staff always have the support and direction they require we have collated our collection of defined policies and procedures into a single binder, which is proudly displayed and readily accessible at every single one of our partner schools. This binder contains our entire Proven Process that we have developed and evolved from our 15 + years’ experience of managed lettings.
An absolute priority for everyone at Schools Plus is to ensure that we provide safe, compliant and well-run lettings. A way we have developed to internally check if this is happening at all our of our sites is our Operational Excellence Audit.
Twice a year, every school that we are responsible for is audited for operational excellence. These audits are unscheduled, and any member of our team can be tested and is expected to pass. We are proud that we deliver the highest operational standards within our sector and we are convinced that running our frequent Operational Excellence Audits helps ensure this.
