Our Senior Leadership Team sit at the top of Schools Plus. Each of them lending their experience to form one united Team, tackling all the needs and responsibilities of the business. This allows for Schools Plus to generate more income than any other schools letting company in the UK.
They understand what it takes to successfully run all aspects of the company but are also looking to constantly improve to make sure we offer the best service possible.

Robyn Johnstone – Chair
Having worked in the education sector for many years, Robyn brings a wealth of knowledge unmatched by others. She is currently the CEO of Education Placement Group but started out as a teacher herself. She has always been passionate about trying to develop dynamic and innovative solutions to school problems. Her personal and professional values are completely aligned with Schools Plus and she looks forward to helping the business continue to grow.

James Woods – Founder & Managing Director
James founded Schools Plus back in 2004. He has run the business so successfully that not only were we the first-ever Schools Lettings provider in the UK but can also proudly say that we are the longest standing Schools Lettings provider in the UK. Further to this James has a degree in Law from Cambridge University, an MBA from INSTEAD, and has worked for the European Commission, Accenture, and Centrica both in the UK and abroad.

Nicola Beaumont – Finance Director
Nicola joined us in 2022 having recently worked as a Finance Director and Board member in the charity and social enterprise sectors. She started her career as a management consultant and has since held senior finance positions in both large corporates and SMEs.
She chose to work for Schools Plus as a dynamic and growing organisation with her preferred focus on generating significant community benefits.
Her experience and professionalism will support the SLT in ensuring continued business success, financial robustness and effective strategic implementation.

Wayne Cryer – Operations Director
Wayne has been with Schools Plus since 2016 following a thirty-year career in the retail sector with extensive experience as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, and Deputy Retail Director. Initially starting as an Area Manager, Wayne has since been promoted to Operations Director where he oversees the groundwork at all our partner schools, delivering exceptional operational excellence across our entire estate.

Jonathan Daniels – Commercial Director
With multiple years of experience in the industry, Jonathan joins us as Commercial Director where he oversees three major aspects of the company: Sales, Marketing, and Communications. He brings with him vital and versatile expertise to further build and maintain our company’s brand and to accelerate growth. Excited to immerse himself in a business where we celebrate community spirit and make an impactful difference to schools.
