
We’re celebrating our office birthday today as the Customer Contact Centre has just turned two years old! Schools Plus first opened our Bournemouth based head office in July 2017 and we began taking enquiries for our partner schools in August 2017.
In our blog last year celebrating the Customer Contact Centre’s (CCC) first birthday we wrote about the incredible growth we’d experienced in our first twelve months of business and we’re happy to say that we’ve somehow grown even more this year….including taking an incredible 25,000 phone call enquires over the last twelve months!
The big news from the last year was our office move. We’re still based in Bournemouth, and still in the same office building, but we’ve moved into a bigger space with more desks, headsets and plants than ever before!
We felt the change of office was, although admittedly a little stressful, ultimately necessary to accommodate each of our departments growing demands. The CCC is currently home to the Sales and Marketing Department, The Enquires Team and members of our Finance team.
Each of these departments saw significant growth in their own way this year with the Marketing Department gaining a new team member to help refocus our design and branding efforts. Simon Kidby was confirmed as Sales and Marketing Director and continues to skilfully lead the department from Bournemouth.

Our contact centre team also saw a few reshuffles now working closely with our Operations Director, Wayne Cryer and Finance Director, Andy Halliwell. Both of these moves will help centralise the CCC even further and allow them to continue to support our Venue Managers and site teams.
The CCC is a close-knit team, with many of our staff here having been there when we first opened. Therefore, we got up the usual office events, meals and nights out you’d expect in the last year….with the Christmas party being a highlight!
We had an opportunity to demonstrate not only the closeness of our team but also our day to day operations when our Venue Managers visited Bournemouth for a company conference recently. The Venue Managers all came over over to take a brief tour of the CCC, which was a great opportunity for everyone to catch up and see how things work here.
We’re thrilled to see our Customer Contact Centre continue to grow and expand as we head into our third year of operation. We’re glad the original idea by Simon to start our little office by the sea has turned into such a vital part of Schools Plus operations and we’re so excited for the future… watch this space!
